I just gotta share this one.
It popped into my head some time ago. At one moment I thought to myself, "Hey, I wonder what does the Bible exactly say about our free will". I always knew, that we have free will, because God has granted it to us. I never knew the specific biblical reference to that, but it seemed so obvious that I never gave it a second thought. So I have typed the phrase "free will" into some online bible search engine to do a quick study, and guess what?
The output returned no results. None that referred to the words in desired context. The only exception was a "freewill offering" but that is not exactly what I had in mind.
So apart from that, the phrase Free Will doesn't appear in the whole Bible!
It looks like the Bible doesn't even acknowledge anything like free will. At least concerning Man.
Funny, but I wasn't really surprised. It actually supports what I have already learned: that very few things actually result from our sole decisions, but rather from the sovereign Will of God. And that though we are free to choose from good and evil, we make our choices according to our fallen nature, which is evil. So the kind of will we happen to posess is not exactly free, but also evil. And that the only Being in existence that really has free will, is God alone, not us.
I just needed to post it

Just in case somebody points to me a passage that will make me go: "Oops, I have like totally missed that one all right

The fruit of the Spirit is a beautiful thing, and Truth is wonderous to those whom God grants to behold it. I wish I could find more on dA to be as honest and bold as what I've seen thus far from you here.
Shine on! I'm going to put you on my watchlist.

"Getting 'close to God' without carefully defining who He is, without knowing whether He can be approached at all, and without understanding how to approach Him is an immense risk." - M. Horton
